A is a lot better...has more impact against the black background!

They show the fire very well, you have got a great exposure for showing a good amount with a nice spiral and detail. I think it could be improved by showing what it is, maybe get in closer and show the person who is swinging the flame. It may not of been possible to get to an angle about 180 of where you are, or closer or more zoom. So that is not a critism of this pic. which is good for the reasons I have already said. My 2 pence worth. Just an opinion, I am sure there will be many others :)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

I've not worked on these fire shots yet, but have looked at them closely..... And while I was able to capture some of the face, I feel their a bit soft.... I wish I had been able to get some really nice crisp shots like I've seen Donald do..... I do like both of these.... The fire swirls came out great, and look good against the black background, but I like how you were able to pull out the details in the second and show the crowd. I'm waiting to see your gondola shots, I'm really interested to see how those came out.

I am, therefore I create.......

Michelle, I will be working ont he gondola shots tonight I hope. They are pretty dark but workable I think. I am taking a bussiness associate out tonight so i hope I have time to get to them but we shall see. I want to see some of yours too! Onslow, Changing angle ws not always possible, moreso due to background and crowd rather than anything else. In this one I think is the first Fire foye (poye) we saw and were just excited to be shooting. More to come. Of that you can be sure! MM

B all the way. I like seeing the background and am still impressed at how the fire stands out. If you were to re-shoot, I'd say try not to let the flame leave the picture frame...a tough job I know. ;]

Never tried this, so I will just comment on what I see. I prefer B, because of the extra detail in the f/g and b/g for me this enhances the image; also I feel the colour of the flame is more accurate. A is good also, but looks a little dark to me with less detail in the flame!?! Monitor calibrated

I like A for the same reasons as Sheila(tvernuccio). Cool photo :-)

I like them both for different reasons! Couldn't give any advice on this though!
