Subject: Ok, what should I beware of concerning the PP?

Yes, Fox, I know about Python, but I'm a careful person by nature. If I don't understand it, I won't run it. :) Regarding the missing poly stuff. Does this affect the regular Poser figures? VV has a couple of holes in her neck, but since she's a custom character, she may have geometries in the CR2. If there are no custom geometries in the CR2, is it safe to use the character? I have custom characters I've spent a lot of time on, especially my ship. I don't want to risk damaging them. They are all PZ3 files. I may uninstall the PP until they fix it because it's of no use to me if I can't work on my figures without damaging them. :( Greywolf

The missing poly's only effect figures with geometry in the CR2. You can't damage any of your figures. Make sure you save them to new versions. Don't overwrite older files. Uninstalling the PP could leave you with a non-working poser. You would have to reinstall from the CD and update with Poser4.03

To the Curious Labs Guys: We really need a central web page (and I think it should be on your site and maintained by you) that tracks the known bugs with PP, the workarounds, and the status on providing patches for them. As it was said earlier, reporting bugs here in these forums is kind of random, and you never know when you've missed an important thread or not. I think you guys owe it to those of us who bought PP already in good faith to keep us up to date on what's happening. Thanks for listening. --

Oh! Good. And Jeff, thanks for the lovely Angel wings! I bought them last night..er...early, VERY early this morning. :) I was searching everywhere. Zygote's dragon wings were perfect for my Tathar de Dakshae characters, but I couldn't find wings for their counterparts, the Tathar de Hoshae. The eagle wings from the creature pack just wouldn't do. Then I stumbled across your angel wings. PERFECT! I bought them VERY fast! :) Heh. Greywolf

I'm glad the Wings work for you ;-)

Hello, I am working on a tutorial explaining how to properly use Poser materials in Max. I am at the early stages and hope to have it done in a few days. From what I know so far, some isuses have to do with how Max handles materials, and these are what will be addressed. I will be posting again once it is complete. And yes, work on documenting the Poser file format continues! :-) Anthony Hernandez Senior Technical Writer Curious Labs

We're working on such a page, and not specific to the Pro Pack, but Poser also. An FAQ/tech support type of thing. ******************* Steve Yatson Poser Product Manager http://www.curiouslabs.com *******************

If you down load the cr2 editor you can easily fix any pz3 with holes simply load the cr2 to the damaged character go to the top and click the search button type in g when it comes to a line where there is a g with nothing folowing it simply type "blank" afterwards and it will fix the holes
