I took this lichen shot and have been playing with it for a day or two. I will probably go back and re-shoot it, but wanted to get some feedback from you guys first. What do you think? I asked Egmont to adjust it the way he though helped the image...I won't tell you which is which yet. :) Do you like one? Both? Neither? What would you do different? I'm eager to hear. There is a lot of detail in the image, but I had to really lower the rez to load it up here. Thanks! --Kort

hey, mmmm can't really say what I would do differently but I can tell you that I like the greener one more, why? good question, there is a greater variety of colours on the left image, but in the right hand one the purples, greens and blues tie in nicely and I can read the texture of the wall better, so this is my favourite. :) David

i am drawn to the browns & purples in the first... more variation... a texture to lose oneself in...

I like both with a preference for the RH - I changed it to a lithe print style too see what it would look like :)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

Interesting as a lithe too, keep the comments coming! :) BTW, here is the original, no adjustments other than sizing. It was taken in the rain.

I like both, and the one Onslow did too..... can't pick a preference.

I am, therefore I create.......

I like both 2 but if I really had to choose I would pick the green one!

I am drawn to the warm colours of the first but the second one I think brings out the details a little more so my choice would be #2 ... Noeline

If I had to choose I would go with the green one on the right, to me the colors just mesh naturally. While the image on the left is nice and the colors do go together, I dunno can't put my finger on it... I still like the green one! :)
