Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 14 4:48 pm)
To inject a morph, you go to Library/Poses, and find whatever it is you want to inject IE: Expressions. Open the folder and locate the expression you want. I don't use V3 without character addons, but I believe if you are using the V3 expressions, that after you inject say an open smile, you have to manipulate the figure manually to get that open smile. It doesn't automatically appear... at least it didn't for me. To inject a character addon, go to Library/Poses and find the character you want to use, click the single check mark and the morphs will be injected. To remove it again, just do the same thing with the corresponding "REM" file. I believe the combo package does the same as the individual ones. It's just a different package.
"It is good to see ourselves as
others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to
say." - Ghandi
I must be missing some files then because every time I try to inject morphs like that (I thought that was how) it tells me it can't find the files it needs and everything I have downloaded is in the correct files. For example, I will go into poses and try to do a different face and never can do it. I don't see how I could be missing every file for everything. Confusing. Thanks for responding! :)
Make sure you have the head and body morph packs for the correct figure. Characters for V3 require you to have the V3 head and body morph packs, and M3 characters require you to have the M3 head and body morph packs. Same for Aiko, Stephanie, Hiro, Davis, the Freak, the Girl, etc... Each requires you to have the correct head and body morph packs for that character (they're not interchangeable).

A quick summary: there is a specific subset of morphs (INJ and REM's) that live in the folder called !DAZ in the Poser libraries. If you have multiple runtimes, this folder must exist in the main runtime of the version of Poser that you use. The name may not be changed or its location moved. The V3 and M3 morphs live there. To use them, load the morphs you want i.e... "alien head", and you should see the alien head morph in the list of head attributes such as "mouth size" etc.., enter a value such as 1.0 or 0.2 or twiddle the dials as you prefer and the morph effect should happen. Daz3D has a detailed explanation on their help page. Note: each creator has an enormous amount of control over where they decide morphs are supposed to be stored so read the readme and they should tell you where the morphs live such as the file list that Daz includes in their readme.
transfer morphs from one figure's Cr2 useing Morph Manager to transfer to another unimesh figure's Cr2. That's one way, but remember that the morphs will work a little differently to the original figure the morphs were created for.
V3 if I had to make a choice. That's because the V3 head morphs has all the ethnic face morphs and I use them on Laura3, a better bargin for me at least. Both if you can afford them.
I think that Daz is having a sale on the morphs right now for very cheep.

Unfortunately, you can't transfer morphs betweem M3 or the Freak and other Unimesh figures. Those two meshes were cut differently so morphs do not transfer over with Morph Manager. There is a utility for sale here that will transfer them over though I can't remember what it's called. DO NOT INJECT MORPHS INTO THE "BLANK" CHARACTERS! These characters are for morph designers who want to create new morphs and redistribute the characters legally. I've seen a lot of people make the mistake of trying to inject morphs into the blank characters and get totally frustrated. Also, make sure you're using the latest version of a figure. Use V3 sr2 or the V3 SAE (SAE has some of the expression morphs already INJected in.) When you inject a morph, you may need to click off the body part then click back on to see the new morph dial. It's because Poser doesn't refresh the dial list properly. Also, it may sound silly, but make sure you're using INJ to inject the morphs and REM to remove them. I know at least one person who was using the wrong set and was going nuts trying to figure out why the morphs never appeared. Hope this helps, Cres
They are for content creators. Making clothes and creating poses, your own made morphs. "you can't transfer morphs betweem M3 or the Freak." Your right, I was doing to many things at one time and forgot those two have to be different. I get so used to being able to do ALMOST any transfer with MorphManager. LOL.
When thr Freak first came out, I discovered thru experimentation that you can inject many of the M3 morphs into the Freak, but the results are sometimes different from what they do to M3.

I need to purchase either the V3/M3 Head & Body Morphs or the Victoria 3.0 Head Morph Pack. Since I have the M3 figure as well as V3, it would make sense to purchase the first one but my question is, does it do the same thing and more for V3 than just the the Victoria 3.0 Head Morph Pack? On a side note can someone please direct me to a SIMPLE tutorial on what it means and how to use INJ and REM files? I have no clue how to inject a morph and obviously I will need to know that. As it is right now nothing in that field works for me. Thanks for your help!
