Here are a number of links that can help you. They are for Poser 5, but they should get you started anyway. http://trekkiegrrrl.dk/tut1.htm http://trekkiegrrrl.dk/tut6.htm http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=2096208&Form.sess_id=36919002&Form.sess_key=1115524985 http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=2063281 http://www.ronknights.com/poser/index.htm http://www.poserguide.nimprodaction.com/issues/issue1/index.htm http://www.poserguide.nimprodaction.com/

Lots of tutorials here, and I got a lot of my information by asking questions here in the Poser forum, after all that's what it is here for :) The manual is a pos in my opinion, makes an excellent door stop so don't throw it away too quickly...well, Poser 5 manual was, can't say anything about the P6. Feel free to instant message me if you get stuck or have a question :) I'm not an expert but I've been in your shoes before, Wolf.

I am sooooooo a beginner as well. I don't have P6, but I agree that the manual that comes with P5 isn't that helpful. What I found helpful was to use the manual to familiarize myself with the names of all the parts of the interface. By working through the manual it made it much easier for me to follow the online tutorials. Also when it comes to the tutorials, I have really found the ones from Dr. Geep to be fantastic. One trick I have found with them is that if get a bit stuck on a page, read ahead a page or two. Sometimes the answer is actually coming up. Also just keep reading through the posts here. Often they will lead you in ways you just weren't yet ready to imagine.

Hi Wolf66, welcome to the PAA (Poser Addicts Anonymous) club! As a start, I'd recommend searching out anything by Dr. Geep. His stuff relevant to most of the Poser series, from P4 onwards, and also informative and fun to read. As a start point, I can't really think of anything better. Cheers, Diolma
