I've been getting this problem while I'm working in Bryce, where all of the sudden, I'm unable to make small increments of object repositioning with my mouse. I grab on to... ANYTHING in the scene (single objects, grouped objects, etc.) and have to move my mouse a few inches of screen distance, before the objects suddenly jump to some invisible "snap-to" distance that's always much farther that I want it to go. I tried saving the file and re-starting Bryce. After re-opening the file, SOMTIMES this behavior stops. Somtimes not. Anyone know what's up and how to fix it?? Thanks a bunch, Norb

It's not the Caps Lock key is it? When clicking on an object to move try holding down the ALT key, this should slow it down quite a bit.

Could be a RAM issue. Bryce likes loads of the stuff and starts to play up when you get close to the limit. Just a thought Jonathan

Its your memory for sure. The meshes are probably turning to big ugly boxes too, when selcted. One thing you can do is build the image in 2 files, and merge them for the final adjustments and rendering. A way to move them in small increments when this happens, is to hit the "A" and change the position numbers manually. You will have to play with this to see how far and which way it moves.

Ahhhh... Now that you mention it, I remember that this behavior had started right after I finished naming objects, with all capital letters. (easier for me to read) Of course, I left the CAPS lock on... Didn't know that it was a permanent toggle switch for a "snap to" behavior. Thanks a lot for the help. Norb Have an "alien skin" tile I made.
