hi friends, i have just started with poser today and downloaded victoria base 3.0. i am using poser 6. my question is how do i import the victoria 3 model in poser 6? or is victoria 3 only for poser 5.0 and below? help me out plz. it's a little urgent.

If you have it installed to an earlier version of Poser you can simply access that Runtime from within Poser 6. Keep double clicking any library folder with the up arrow icon until you can go no further. Now click the "+" Add Runtime icon at the bottom of the Library window.

If you are doing a fresh install of the Vicki files I believe it will give you the option of choosing where you want the files installed. In this case choose your Poser 6 installation.

Vicki 3 will work in Poser 6 but I think I'm right in saying that DAZ does not support Poser 5 or Poser 6. However there are now a vast array of other top quality models available the most recent being the free project human figures by Sixus. That one is open source and does not have the same restrictions as the DAZ ones. My reading of the DAZ licence indicates to me that they view all clothing made for their figures as derived works and subject to their approval.

Run the Victoria exe file. It will then try to locate you poser runtime library. Once its found that it will install V3. To use Victoria 3 character select figure on the right menu panel in Poser locate a folder called Daz People and select. The folder will open revealing the contents. Select Victoria 3...below is a tick symbol click that. Victoria 3 will then load into the main window

thanx, both of you guys. i figured that out last night. actually i didnt know the models would come into the library. i basically use Maya and there u import models and meshes using the import command. so i got a little confused. mighty different workflows u see. and philC, thanx for letting me know about sixus. i will definitely check them out. but again, thanx for ur reply. regards.
