Hi everyone, I am a newbie here and to Poser in general. Is there a link to any BEGINNER tuts? I opened up Poser (I have version 5) and was stupified! I have no clue where to begin. Also do I need the Bryce Creations to make the awesome posers I see around here? If anyone could help I would truely appreciate it. Thanks Kim

There is a tutorial section here on Renderosity. It's a decent collection, and a lot of them are marked Beginner. Beyond that, many merchants have tutorials on their home pages (to draw you in to look at their products).

Best advice I can offer is Dr.Geep's tut's. Some of the best around.

As to the backgrounds, there are several programs to choose from. Terragen/Mojoworld/Vue/Bryce.... Microscosm is native to Poser available at RNDA along with some awesome plants/trees etc. Have fun :)

Bryce is a pain to use with Poser. If you have the money, Vue is the better way to go. But Poser itself has a decent renderer, once you know how to use it right.
