tom, l,ve been using the sigma 18mm-200mm f3.5- 6.3.. two of my last compositions, ((except macro of course )) the others are sigma 18mm-125mm, they are a good lens, but l still dont think as sharpe as canon or nikon. have saying that.. most please with my sigma, but must admit for the 100mm-400mm f4.5 f5.6 range going for canon .

Again like a gift catalog I go through the net looking for the telephoto zoom I will like and find a useful and happy addition. I use a Nikon D70 and a small digital carry camera.Looking at this Sigma lens(see link) can anyone provide advice? I read reviews...who knows. And, the dumb question, since this lens is not "specifically" for digital cams, will that present any problems?
This lens is not inexpensive but is much less than some Nikon offerings and faster telephotos I simply cannot afford. This lens at the top of my possible spending level.
