will this help in creating conforming clothing as well as making a figure in something like creature creater and turning it into a poser figure? Is this package worth the money?

Unless mistaken, conforming clothing is considered a figure. So yes, the Pro Pack will help, since you can define joint locations for the clothing, so it bends where needed (sleeves bend at shoulders, etc.). Personally, I think it's worth double the money. But, as you'll see from my signature, I do happen to have a slight personal bias *grin*. You can download the Pro Pack User Guide in PDF format from the curiouslabs.com Web site to check out the Pro Pack in great detail before buying. The Pro Pack is well worth the money. What most people do not know is you get 7 new characters. I have seen characters like this sell for $100 to $150 a piece. You also get several additional models from Viepoint on the CD. This is not to mention the many feautures of the prog itself. The setup room allows you to apply bones the way most hi end apps do that cost 10 times as much. And yes it can do the things you asked above. It also has an excellent manual. There are so many other feautures its a steal at $149. It does have some minor gliches the way all new apps do. However Curious Labs is on top of them and I am sure a patch is forth coming. You can work around these minor problems. I do not work for Curious Labs. Ron

others sell thousand of $ for what costs less than 150 can do. Pro Pack definitely a good one.

I bought Pro Pak without a second thought. Have no idea what it does, or will do. ALl that junk about scripting and blah blah blah... greek to me. Macromedia flash? No clue. I dont have lightwave, I dont have 3D studio Max. Hey man its a Poser upgrade!! Do you really need to know what it does? Well I didn't. Just got the Cd in the mail today, and in fact I just tore the shrinkwrap. It comes in a DVD case! Nifty. But it is CD ROM. At least the version I got. Looks just like a Poser 4 disk on da cover too. hehe Just noticed Anthony Hernandez's name on the inside cover. Well all I can say at this point for sure is the packaging is neato and I like da cover. How can ya go wrong? :)

WOW! I mean WOW Dude have no second thoughts about it. I am very happy I didn't bother to research it before I bought it, because I kinda like surprises and man are there some bigtime surprises. Forget the python scripting and plug in hype, this IS basically the equivalent of Poser 5.0. There are some dramatic changes to functionality, the multi view windows are immensely helpfull, this alone will save me from carpal tunnel syndrome from all the dang mouse-jerking I have had to do in the past trying to look at seperate angles while putting a scene together. Rolling that dang camera ball till I sprain my neck. Check this out... Creating Poser models from scratch just advanced by leaps and bounds. Yep I would say there is about as big a change between Poser Pro Pak and Poser 4.0 as there was going from Poser 3.0 to Poser 4.0. It's a big deal. Any idiot can now build their own custom poser model, it is no longer rocket science, and believe me, I am fully qualified to speak for all idiots on the matter. If all the functional changes aren't enough, there is a full catalog of new characters, with their own seperate hair and poses categories included including animated pose sets. The characters are cartoon-like, they are really cool. This is worth the money, absolutely. If you thought Poser 4.0 was worth the money, you will be very happy with this pro pak. I'd say they underpriced it.
