THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: exporting objects

Would anyone know why my export objects (in Bryce 5) option does not function? Is there a file that I can import or a utitility that I could use to make this function properly? For your consideration - I thank you.

It depends what your trying to export. As far as I know you can only export terrains and objects that have been imported. You can't export bryce primitives, trees etc.

Rocks and lattices can also be exported. Hopefully in Bryce6 they will work out exporting models made from Bryce primitives and booleans.

I doubt that boolean models will be able to be exported in the near future because all the booleans are doen upon renderign nto to the actual geometry. But I have been wrong before. No tree exports either. Bryce really needs to be your last stop.

Can anyone tell me how I can export an .obp object from Bryce and save it as a .tif, .psp or .pds file? Thanks. BJ

As far as I know you can't. BTW aren't those image files? .obp is the bryce native object file, nothing converts it and no other app can read it.
