Subject: Could Somone with Apollo Maximus Post a Picture for Me?

jaybutton ( ) posted Fri, 17 June 2005 at 5:01 PM · edited Wed, 11 December 2024 at 3:10 AM

I have been looking at Apollo Maximus at RDNA and I am interested in getting him, but in the sample pictures his body looks a little "ballooned up" when he is bulked up. What I mean by that is that his muscles appear to be lacking definition. Could someone post a picture with both the pBodyMuscles1 and the pBodyDefine dials turned up, or whatever combination of dials necessary to make him large and cut? Thanks! Jay

I would like to see him posed so we can see how bad the problem areas are. The default pose doesn't help at all.

How's about these?? (Warning, link contains nudity)

The thigh and knees don't look right. The material is stretched on the knee and the thigh into the hip is socketed. The knee doesn't blend into thigh muscle correctly. JMHO.

The more I look at him the less impressed I am, sorry. At first I said wow and cool. His arms seem way to short, his knees and thighs look strange. The overal proportion of Apollo Maximus seems to be out of shape somehow. Also looking at the eyes in a number of images and faces (even with the add ons), it looks like he's stoned. That's at least the way his eyes look. I was debating to get him or not, but find the price a bid steep and I don't want to spen lots of money on a new figure anymore. By taking a closer look at him I settled the debate, I don't like Apollo Maximus. His body proportions just look strange to me. This is just my opinion, after my initial wow, I don't like him anymore after taking a second (and third) look. Sorry.

My friend who isn't a 3d artist immediately thought his proportions were strange. Perhaps the scale has been altered on various limbs for some reason. Maybe this model would be a better investment? Just kidding.

I'm not sure about better, but it would take quite some investment :-)

The proportions of this figure are actually quite good, more like a real person instead of the greek proportions that a lot of people still use.

Actually, in the case of Apollo the scaling (which I find very realistic) is all user-configurable anyway.

Actually Apollo is an alamgam of 7 different proprotion scales from various art book and charts through-out history. They were all combined to achieve the base.

The base figure is neutral and the figure is comprosed almost entirely of shaping morphs.

There are no morphs like "Barbarian" or faces like "monkey".

The user determines the shape and style him/herself.

Here is a pic of the body with some morphing. Again, there are no concrete-defined looks. You do not get prepackaged dial spins masked as "FullBodyMorphs", Each morph is original and reversible.

The limbs scale via cobvenient dials which can quickly, and easy scale areas easily saved into the library.

The stretching lanaloe77 is seeing is trasmapped hair on the SkinSuit I probably should have made more faint on the kneecaps.

The reason i think people are posting larger more bulky images is because that is what "they" like.

He can be amny thing. Little jokes and jabs are fine but some of these people worked hard on their renders and deserve a little kindness.

The eyes have x,y, and z roatation morphs for the sockets. If thre user does not want a sleepy or "stoned look"? .lol.. they don't have to have one. Again, nothing has been locked into in the way of premanufactured dial spins and Faux "fullBodySpins".

The value is cheaper than any other similar figure ever offered when first released or afterwards.

Thanks and Regards,
Anton

Did you see the werewolfe Preview image? Werewolf? Just curious about this. I'm debating on getting the figure (waiting to see what other folks think, etc.). Lately I've been doing book covers for an erotic romance publisher, and a lot of the books involve werewolves (apparently, it's a whole genre!). So, errr... Is this what I think it is, or... ? bonni

I dialed it up for the image. Just uses the included shaping morphs. You can make lots of scary guys including vampires and wherewolves. This is how I did it. There is an example face pose called "Beast" in the face library illustrating different morphs used positive and negative. I used the muscle morph at 1.5 I think and turned the Weight Morph way up to 2 I think to make him disproportionately skinny. Then I scaled the hands and feet a bit larger and just used an included pose. My guilty pleasure is monster movies. hehe

This is a fun one. Reminds me of Cushing somehow. Lots of preety boy or villians are possible. This is P4
