Subject: Filter--effects question

I found 2 tutorials on DAZ's site about making textures, one is an oriental pattern and the other about making a leather like texture. Both tutorials are using Paint Shop Pro 8 and they talk about using the effect called "Pattern" which kind of duplicates the image making it a kaleidoscope image. Can Photoshop do that? I'm sure it can, but I'll be danged if I can find it. Link: http://www.daz3d.com/support/tutorial/index.php?id=1170

Yes, depending on version of Photoshop you are using. It's getting hard to remember when each feature started. In Photoshop CS it's Filter > Pattern Maker.

Actually, that will just make patterns .. not really a kaleidoscope. I use Xaos Tools - Terrazzo 2 plugin to make kaleidoscopes. It has many different symmetry patterns to work with.

Site seems to be down (or gone?) but here is a article on it. Terrazzo 2 From Xaos Tools
