:)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few,ย Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

tough to see how fast you can do it... kind of like rubbing your tummy in a circular motion & patting your head at the same time :D

Man this is much tougher than I thought!! Can't help myself but to read the words!! Very interesting.....! O_O

That went pretty well ;) BUT if it had been written in my native language I'm sure I would have had a lot more trouble with it - since I say the colors to myself in norwegian I kinda avoid the whole trap...

@erskogly: I've just tried ur method, to say the color in French instead of English, but it didn't change anything to me! Still very tough! O_o So yea, definitely form indeed!

Certain forms "demand" the attention of the eye. Words and letters are among them. If these had been symbols or forms that didn't turn on the "read" function in our brain, the results might be different. That's one of the reasons I hate subtitles - they distract from the movie. I can't seem to help it.

I agree! Subtitles are a pain!!

And if you put a female form in the frame, my eyes are instictively drawn to it, no matter what the color. It seems to be a congenital condition that I, and many others like me, suffer from.

I have a mug like that! It's so fun. The scramble letters are easy but that is because certain root letters are left unchanged. Completely scramble it and it becomes nearly imapossible.

Ah picking on the colorblind eh ?! Damn you !! LOL Form is definately more important than color, especially to me sigh Pretty cool test here, thanks for sharing !! :o)

U're colorblind Jeroen???? Oh my! Didn't know that! Would love to know how u actually see colors!!! Care to explain a 'lil??? ;)

Enmos ( ) posted Thu, 23 June 2005 at 5:15 PM

Hi Pascale :o) I see all colors normally (i think)... i just get confused which is which... For instance, i takes a lot of effort for me to see the difference between the orange and green in the pic above. But i can see it though... Most of the time when i make an error and someone corrects me, i look again and than see it the right way :s Guess im not colorblind but colorstupid LOL ;o) Theres a name for it though, i believe its called red-green colorblindness... but i have a mild form i think. I get confused between some browns and greens, some greens and oranges, some browns and reds, purples and blues... and reds and greens ofcourse ;o) Weak colors (when theres only a little bit of color) i often cant see and think its white. Or small object far away... i just cant determine the color off it... that sort of stuff :o) If your interested theres this site i found about it just now. I cant see the star but i can see the circle... however... i can see some colorshift in the top half of the pic but by no means anything remotely similar to a star. Have a great evening/day !! :o) Jeroen

There are people that are not colour blind, but can only think in B&W. For instance, ask them to imagine a red car and they can't they can only see black or near black. Talking of stars, I wondered where the sun went to at night so I stopped up to find out and then it dawned on me :)
