How about 2-3 Ecosystems with the vegetation slightly under the white plane. First scaled to zero in z and then scale them up as animation. And vibrate them a little so that the "growing" is not too smooth? 2-3 Ecos because then you can make the grow a little different in speed and movement. Can be more of course if neccessary. Could work.

Isnt there a tutorial in the manual about making a plant appear to grow? You might be able to use that for close up plants while doing scaling stuff and / or fading in transparant items in the distance by animating their transparency.

"hide from render" then have it visible to render?
is that animatable?
if so better than transparency IMHO :) dern, no it ain't :(

Hey all, I want to create a animated scene where a Logo dropped from above to the ground. Ground is a boring white plane and within seconds, Grass, Trees, rocks and hills are "transforming" into the animation. I have no idea how to realize that idea. Maybe due postproduction? Render one movie with white ground and a second with the wood? But how can I make it look like its growth in a time frame? Any ideas? Suggestions?
