Welcome Ben, the Renderosity forums and tutorials are a great place to start, feel free to ask anything. However, it is worth reading the Bryce FAQ at the top of the Rosity forum first, and often worth searching the forums for any questions you might have. Also, feel free to visit us at RenderGods, for advice or general chatting etc. irc://irc.freenode.net/RenderGods Or http://www.rendergods.com/
Come visit us at RenderGods.

Hello. Welcome. Cool pics in your gallery so far. Looking forward to countless more.
NEVER post a link with your session id or session key in it.
You look to have some 3D experience. With what might I ask?
As for learning? Poke around for a bit to get the feel of things. Then decide what you want to do. If you can't figure it out, or have no idea how to start, ask here. This is the most helpful group of people you'll find anywhere.
{almost looks like a recruiting party. oh well}

hmm..there are a few out there. Daz, of course, has snapped up some of the best, so root around there. Or hang around here and ask questions. We're not like 'that other package' where people think all questions are dumb..;) see you around...out there..;)Message edited on: 06/22/2005 23:08

Hi Ben and welcome to the mad world of Bryce. My honest opinion is you have started in the best place to learn. You can read all the tutorials you want and still you'll have problems with things in Bryce. You only need ask the question once on this forum/community and it will be answered in many different ways but you'll learn from that.
In all the time i have been using Bryce i have read 4 Tutorials, i have asked more questions than i care to count and thanks to all on here i have learned more about the program than i thought i would.
If you are working on something post it on this forum and you'll find these great people will guide you in the right direction to turn it into a great image. But be ready for some heavy but friendly criticism on your wip(work in progress).

(Still learning but i'm getting there)

I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

Welcome, I started Brycing after seeing Peter Sharpes work, his tuts are a good source too, but take a look at rochr's pages he's got some sort of neural connection between his brain and bryce, and Flak is another grandmaster.----------
Toolset: Blender, GIMP, Indigo Render, LuxRender, TopMod, Knotplot, Ivy Gen, Plant Studio.
Ben: Welcome to the asylum! Nice gallery and I really liked 'Moon'. You've already made a great impression here. Drac's invited you to the Rendergods. (Never invited me to Rendergods - sulk) Enjoy your stay!

Good lord, but you are good for a beginner. Obviously you have experience in 3D (my first pix were shiny spheres above water, lol... course those were my first 3D pix as well as my first Bryce pix...) You might try Rochr's tutorials (they range from beginner to advanced): http://www.rochr.com/ You could also try Bill Munns' tutorials (and check out his gallery too while you're there, it's stunning!): http://www.billmunnsgallery.com/techniques.html Anyhow, those are some of the less obvious ones. There are also really great tutorials here at Renderosity. And if you have any questions that you can't find a tutorial for, of course the good folks here in the forums can answer just about any question you have. Good luck! =)
As you wish!

Hey; my name's Ben. I'm relatively new at Bryce and was wondering if any of you guys could recommend any good tutorials or starting places to help me learn the program? I would like to learn and from what I can tell this is a cool community to start with; seems there are some good people here.
