You could always render your image without the background as a .png and then composit the two images (the render and the background) together in an image editor. The png file format of the render will make the standard poser background transparent, so you should be able to just position the render over the background in, say, Photoshop. Tip: you might also want to render the background on its own as well (so the lighting matches). I've just realised that this was for multiple renders, so that could get a bit labourious. But it is the best way.

You can also make a square prop with your background picture attached, that way it always renders the background high resolution. If your picture is e.g 724x422 then make the x size of the background prop 724 and make the y size 422 and the picture will fit perfectly on the background with no distortion, then scale the background to size using the scale button with no x,y or z in it. Switch off cast shadows for the prop and for some scenes you might want some ambient light, or maybe even make the prop a colour depending on the effect you want to achieve.

When I've imported a background image into Poser (5), and I have to do multiple renders - I find that the background image becomes pixelated. Even if the background image is 600 dpi - Is there a way to prevent this? Thanks
