Coming soon for David and Hiro Armour that moves like armour should! Using a revolutionary new technique, this armour set actually moves like real armour. Yes, this does limit the poses you can place the figure in -- but yes, so would real armour :)

Cool stuff .. Does it have any of the body morphs?

XFX3d ( ) posted Sat, 25 June 2005 at 5:57 PM

Nope, sorry, it's armour. It's not bendy at all. It's scalable, though, of course. And the price will be amazingly low. You'll see :)

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Sat, 25 June 2005 at 6:01 PM

Okay .. For a low price it might be cool .. The default David is pretty useless to me so that is why I ask for the morphs.

We know you're used to content creators that expect you to fully justify your reasons for not purchasing and your urge to humbly meet that demand, but we *don't require it at all!* Aren't we some seriously accommodating bastards? Yeah baby! You don't even have to lick the boot!)

So, the sub price gets the subscriber all 51 items? Or does a subscriber still need to purchase these 51 items after subscribing?

pdxjims ( ) posted Sun, 26 June 2005 at 3:44 PM

I believe it's all 51. XFX3D will be on with a clarification later (when he gets his lazy butt outta bed).

XFX3d ( ) posted Sun, 26 June 2005 at 3:48 PM

L PDXJims... when one of us who checks things on weekends (which at least one of us DOES) gets out of bed, you mean B^) There are no additional charges for downloads after subscribing. It IS like Poserworld, (where you subscribe and you get stuff), and it is NOT like Platinum Club (where you subscribe and are able to buy stuff cheap).

libernull ( ) posted Sun, 26 June 2005 at 4:17 PM

Thanks for the clearification.

No worries

Oooh one thing I need to make really clear (and I will get on the site and put this in the subscription information page too, so that more people know it)... 1) It is VERY IMPORTANT to go to the redirect link Paypal provides after the purchase is made. THis page activates your account and lets you start downloading. 2) On some browsers, a log out and log back in to XFX is required. We don't know why or exactly which browsers are doing this (it seems almost random and may have somehting to do with cookie settings) but we are trying to figure it out. If upon registering and activating you cannot access the content, log out and back in. Of course in any case you should be logged in when you subscribe so it knows who the subscription goes to!

Cool stuff! Thank you. :-) Ghost you should be able to use the Wardrobe Wizard to get it to fit morphed characters. Am going to try with the Hiro/Hitoro, will let you know.

XFX3d ( ) posted Mon, 27 June 2005 at 4:04 AM

Err.... MAYBE. This is made in a pretty strange way cmpared to normal, to make the special movement style work. It might not work.

ookami ( ) posted Mon, 27 June 2005 at 3:43 PM

I signed up but still can't download anything... =(

LilWolff ( ) posted Mon, 27 June 2005 at 9:28 PM

Did you do the log out - log in dance? That fixed it for me.

ookami ( ) posted Mon, 27 June 2005 at 11:03 PM

Yup.. I logged in and then logged out multiple times and it didn't help. I've sent an email, but no one has responded at all yet. Sigh.

elizabyte ( ) posted Mon, 27 June 2005 at 11:03 PM

This is made in a pretty strange way cmpared to normal I can testify that this is, indeed, the case. I've NEVER seen anything like it in Poser before. The armor moves very much like real armor (the plates slide over each other). I don't know quite how it was done, but I'm told reliably that it was a very weird technique. Still, you may as well try it with Wardrobe Wizard and see. :-) It's way cool armor, IMHO. bonni

ookami ( ) posted Tue, 28 June 2005 at 2:06 PM

Still can't get in. Anyone from the site feeling like helping? Or should I go to Paypal and get a refund?

LilWolff ( ) posted Tue, 28 June 2005 at 6:38 PM

Your still not in? I thought you would already be busy downloading. Did you IM XFX3d? Can you go to their forum thingie and yell HELP? Did paypal mark it as going through in your account history? Sorry I got questions and unfortunately no answers for you. :-(

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Tue, 28 June 2005 at 7:38 PM

You might IM Dodger at the site. I had the same problem and he cleared it up. I know he also has limited time online so it might be a tiny bit but it should be able to be cleared up with an IM over there.

XFX3d ( ) posted Tue, 28 June 2005 at 8:29 PM

Hi, Ookami. Sorry about the issue. After your paypal payment is made you're redirected to http://www.xfx-3d.com/payment_recvd.mp. It's best that you follow that redirect link, but you can go there any time after the transaction is processed to activate the subscription. Any time a registered user with a paid subscription goes to that page any pending subscription time they have paid for is activated (cumulatively, so if you bought a 3-month, then a 1 month, then went to the page to activate them, it would activate four months from right then, don't worry). It's good you used the support database, thanks for that. Please take note, though, that after you submitted the support requests it did say: Thank you for submitting your support request. At XFX-3d we strive to provide the best customer service and will give prompt attention to this matter. Please allow for up to 2 business days to service the issue. Again, sorry for any inconvenience. This is because until we're making enough money to make this a full time job a few of us are working, plus one is going to school, and one is dealing with a family tragedy. So the 'up to 2 days' is actually serious. Again, as it says above, in some cases on some browsers, which seems almost totally random at this point, the subscription is activated but not for the immediate current login. The solution, until we can fix this, is simple: just log out and back in after activating the subscription at the URL above. We hope you're able to start downloading and enjoying our products presently! Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

ookami ( ) posted Wed, 29 June 2005 at 9:26 AM

I appreciate you getting back to me. I first tried emailing you directly using the paypal email address, but it was rejected by my server so I didn't know if the support database was doing something similiar. Thanks!

XFX3d ( ) posted Wed, 29 June 2005 at 6:51 PM

Nope, the support database was working fine. It was just that it was less than 24 hours between your first and third support request -- we hadn't even gotten to the first one yet ;) Did everything get taken care of? Is it all working well?
