Well, it seems I was meant to have this figure. I got the last portion of my grandmother's estate today. To say her and I weren't close is an under exageration. Long story short... I didn't like her very much for many reasons, and I didn't want anything from her. Last year I gave the first part of my share to charity and planned to do the same with the second half. I still will, but I decided to use some of it to buy myself Apollo Maximus :) Once I finish reinstalling my runtimes, I'll try him out. I hope he's easy to work with because all I know how to do is click buttons, lol

Hey, If you're going to give the money to charity, Charity starts at home. Any products you pruchase from the artists here in our community would be a great charitable contribution. cheerio lululee

You should definitely buy AM. He has a great look. The images I've done with him are a bit generic. But you can experiment with him and get a whole range of different effects :)

Oh I did get Apollo plus Syyd's texture, Thalmus, for him. The rest, as promised last year, is going to look after homeless kitties and doggies at the humane society. I suspect it will be another week before I get around to trying Apollo. While I saved my runtimes to CD before my reformat, something is wrong and I can't unzip the poser stuff without errors, so now I have to reinstall everything from scratch again.. ugh! Oh well, I get a chance to hone up my already highly organized runtimes, LOL And this time I'm not installing "uninstallers"... I wasn't using them anyway and it was just taking up space.

i think the factthat she left you anything at all - even if it got to you somehow by default (rather than her deliberately writing you out of herwill) is her way of saying she wanted to patch things up after she was gone. i think she didn't completely dislike you. keep the money - sher wanted you to haveit - it's the ;east you can do now that she's gone. you can't carry a grudge beyond the grave. time to forgive and forget. love esther

Acadia, definitely read the readme's and take some time to play with the face morphs. You're going to be able to get a lot of great effects :)

Actually, she willed it to my mother, who died several years ago. As a consequence it came to my brother and I. My brother and I were never mentioned by name in her will. I didn't want her money when she was alive, and I don't want it now. I know that's hard to understand because so many people put high value on "money" and "inheritance", but I don't. Had it come from a loving family member who actually loved me, great. I saw her a total of 3 times since my mother died in 1978, so it's like it was handed out by a virtual stranger. I'm quite happy for the humane society to get it.

Renda was taken down? When did that happen and why?

The cr2 contained evidence that it was derived from Victoria 3, which is a violation of the DAZ EULA. (That's it in a nutshell.) That thread is long (and locked), but at the bottom is a link to the official announcement. bonni

Oh wow! I remember seeing that thread but didn't read it at that time. I remembe another thread saying that Renda looked a lot like V3 on the surface, but I had no idea it was almost a complete clone. Are they fixing Renda or is the person banned from here now?

They haven't said who modelled Renda or who did the rigging, but Renderosity actually owns the figure. The figure has been withdrawn entirely. There's talk of a "reworked" or "revamped" figure that might eventuate, though. bonni

I had it in my wish list for purchase at a later date once the joints were fixed. I really liked the outward appearance of Renda. I'm sorry that all this has happened :(
