I'm learning about Bryce's render speed atm - the hard way: My current WIP has now been rendering for 57 hours and is 88% done. Then comes anti-aliasing... And I have a brandnew computer.. Just wanted to say that I sympathize with you :) ek-art (hoping that Bryce will someday support hyper-threading)

actually in my case it wouldn't make any difference, the processing snag is in one concentrated area of the image. I plop rendered the balance of the image in 4 passes in just under 3 1/2 hrs. The remaining bit has been chugging for about 7 1/2 hrs now. It is 3/4 through the penultimate pass. I have some tweaks to do in some of the ok areas so once this is saved, it'll be more plop! save! re-plop, etc.

and I'm going nuts trying to save a 700mb br5 and keep getting out of memory errors.....

I'd forgotten about bryce's render speed (got one cooking on the main machine at the moment - using the laptop) Please do not think I am really complaining, I am working on premium with lots of transparencies ans soft shadows, etc. Having fun too! Just had honestly forgotten after playing in Cinema for so long.
