Managed by great good fortune to catch this insect as it approached a flower. Thought you might like to see it.

Wow - really tricky to get these in flight, even though they hover. Well done :)

I'm sure there's a setting I can use to catch fast things, like I was shooting some birds feeding under our birdtable the other day but their wings and heads were very blurred when they suddenly moved, a shorter exposure needed obviously. But I may need to set the camera up on the tripod for that, plus I think I need a auto release button thingie to reduce camera shake. So you see this lack of experience on my part makes this hoverfly photo all the more special to me as I had no idea if it worked until I looked on the laptop much later. Pure fluke really!
