My sister sent an email to me containing these images. I was stunned at the art that these sidewalk artists were doing.

These are all drawings, done on sidewalks...
Keep in mind the surfaces are FLAT!

So here they are....

I remember seeing these a year or two ago and was absolutely astounded. Do you guys know if there is some sort of annual competition in NYC for this sort of thing? Or were these just kind of done collaboratively in a one-shot deal? I thought they were so cool. I'm glad to see them again. Thanks for sharing them.

Yeah, I only seen these a couple days ago in a magazine. Coincidence! Just think, they all disappear with a couple footsteps.

I never intended to make art.

That is fantastic stuff, its the demonstration of real graffiti artists :)

Open your mind and share the knowledge!

lordstormdragon ( ) posted Wed, 06 July 2005 at 3:29 AM

Aye, it's quite amazing! Me and my friends are sitting here in awe... We have a LOT of graffiti art here in Seattle, and we often go picture-taking and find more, but nothing quite like this stuff! Amazing, really...

Rosemaryr ( ) posted Wed, 06 July 2005 at 11:05 AM

These are indeed splendid. Here in our town we have an annual "Italian Street Painting Festival" each May. They block off two whole streets, re-pave them black, and let the artists go to it. Not as good overall as this guy, but fun stuff anyway.
