I can't believe the cowardice of these people is it all to do with the G8 summit or because we have the olympics in 2012 and this is a taste of things to come. It sickens me to my stomach

I agree with broatch that I think it has something to do with those 2 things. In any event, it is the people that matter and my heart and best wishes go out to all our brothers and sisters "across the pond" and especially those we know through RO. Don't let cowards make you live scared.

Fortunately here friends and family in london safe. l live 90 miles form london.. so all peaceful.. but its a commuter belt for people who work in london... trains pull into kings cross and liverpool street.. east end.. and would of been commuting on the tube at the time, ((where the bommbs exploded)).. so some around here are waiting for news. today isnt just an attack on London but the Free world, to coincide with G8, but its been on the cards since sept 11th... and as painful as today is and awful.. we dont surrender to terrorism .. we,ve lived with terrorism for years in the uk on various scales... but always know theres more Good in the world than the handful of bad. hugs too all peace and harmony.. and no offence to any one.. hugs to you american guys.. you never fail us..:)..))

(this thought is also posted on the thread by vlaaitje..love the image there and words) Unfortunately, the "tricks" of deluded "terroist freedom fighters" include trying to bring gloom to progress such as the G8 may or may not provide...and to bring down happiness such as celebrated with the announcement of the 2012 events. I have not seen a happier crowd in a while as those shown on tv here from London when the Opympics announcement was made. Take heart...here is the USA we just celebrated our holiday of "declaration of independence" from you Brits! Now, we are strongest of allies and friends. As it should be. You are a strong and determined lot, as I see it. A good example in many ways of getting in the toughest trenches and sticking it out as needed. That seems to be your history of sorts. After 9/11, the first to contact me was a friend in Russia who wondered if I was ok..he did not know I am 1000 miles from NYC. Yet, there was a deep effect here in hearts if not on bodies. Same with you folks, some will fear some will toughen and keep on. Whichever, whilst you recover please know all this heart is with you all. Many hearts are with you all, for each and every person and small child who might suffer. You are a strong lot and are survivors. Little minds driven by demons will not stop the good people.
