It's Anthony Appleyard's Sea Patrol characters in real life. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=310958&Start=19&Artist=Anthony+Appleyard&ByArtist=Yes"Are you sure it's not 'Scottish Police' or something similar?" Similar. South Yorkshire Police, Durham Police, Greater Manchester Police, Metropolitan Police and quite a lot of lads from London. Plus, of course, plenty of local Bobbies.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
I'm mildly curious as to what's actually happening in that picture....and the situation behind it.
I suppose that I'll do a google later tonight, and find out exactly what it was that the rioters were protesting about.
Were the protesters upset over not being allowed to sport dive? That's the only Sea Patrol-related issue that I can think of.......
Re message #9:- At Gleneagles in Scotland there was a meeting to decide international policy about matters. Someone or some people dug up the banner "Against capitalism" as an excuse/reason to make demonstrations. It led to the riot seen above. Please, I don't want this thread to get political and hostile, and therefore I will venture no opinion here. I merely saw the letters SP on the riotsquad helmets.

Neither will I, as I have no strong opinions over the reality here.
Perhaps "SP" stands for "Secret Police" -- because no one is supposed to know about them.
