Tough choice.. Like them all. I think #1 for me .. :)

I like 1 and 3 the best. 2 the head is just cut off a bit too much. It's ok doing that, but then all focus is on hand and arm

I think I like 1 the best. Something about the fact that she's she's in profile, and she's concentrating so hard on that beadwork..and something about the lighting too. She's a darling. ;-)

cynlee ( ) posted Mon, 11 July 2005 at 2:17 AM

1 is the best shot because in 2 the background pics compete with her face & the crop is a bit off & her hands are more in proportion in 1 too... you can also see the tin of beads which makes sense of what's she doing :]

I sort of like the #2. The way the shadow of the curtain falls on her skin gives it a special feel.:O))

My pick would be #1 I like how she is concentrating and looking down at her hands, this then leads the eye to the beads. I quite like the lighting in #2 but as Cindy says the plates are distracting.

better in the b&w, shows the light play better... could be something magically tween her fingers ;]

#1 for the same reasons as cynlee stated. Though the last BW image is nice, and has a sense of mystery as we are not sure what she is doing with her hands.

Well, #2 for me cos of the light!! And in B&W, it's even better!

I like #1. She looks so intent and the lighting is great. #2 looks off to me, too much hand (coming at you) and light. I think in the B&W looses something like the pastel of her shirt and the light.

love #1 - #2 has the hand too big - and #3 is bit flared...

Agree on post 18. #1 and #3 are my preferences. #2 (even with background work) has the "big hand" problem. I wish there was more hair in #1. I wonder if #3 would look any better with a tinsy bit more shadow (or a softening glow effect). I have an idea what it's like, though. Took 6 or so shots of my daughter a month ago and it took me forever to decide on the one to frame. I think it might be because, as parents, we tend to see our children in a "different light".
