You should post the program you will be using to model the items so that people can point you to something specific to your needs.

say." - Ghandi
So you have no 3d modelling software, and no experience in modelling?
You really can't turn PSD files into props. At least, not easily and not well.
Your best bet, IMO, is to take jewelry someone else has modelled, and apply your designs to it as textures. For example, Trekkiegrrrl has a gold necklace with a square pendant. You can apply any design to the pendant, to change the look of the piece. (With transmaps, you can even change the shape of the pendant.)
Another possibility would be to do it with postwork, rather than trying to model it.

If you do not model you can still do jewelryYou can use something like the Morphing FantasyCollar I made for V3 and use texture transmap.
Use false drop shadows in your transparancies, like in the chain on the dress. It will give the issusion of geometry.
Also you can use parented planes and displacement for earings. Your texture is on a black backround and the whtite transmap layers use a white drop shadow on a black bacground. The chain, netting and almost everything in this imade uses drop shadows to get the realistic look. Again, look closely at the chain across the chest. It is a transmapped shadow

If you're looking for doing some 3D modeling, you can also give Rhino a try. It's fairly intuitive and has one of the largest forums/tutorial sets here at Rendo. I am wanting to make my own working earring and necklace set and in need of a good tut or very specific information on getting them to work correctly for V3. Thanks for any help in advance!
