Subject: Taking away the mystery....

Acadia ( ) posted Tue, 12 July 2005 at 10:15 PM · edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 12:38 AM

Can someone shed some light on some figures please....

I surf around the Poser community to a huge number of sites that I have bookmarked. In my travels I see such terms as:

Millennium Girls
Millennium Girls Pre Teen
Victoria Pre Teen
Millennium Girls Young Teens

Are they all different, or are they the same thing with people assigning different names to them? And if they are one and the same... what is the proper name for them, LOL

Signed...

Confused in my living room.

Mill Girls, Mill Girls Pre Teen and Victoria Pre Teen are probably the same but Millennium Girls could also refer to the Young Teens. DAZ's original Millennium Kids were derived from the V1/V2 mesh. There were the Millennium Girls, Pre Teen and Pre School and the Millennium Boys, also Pre Teen and Pre School. The girls show up in the library as PreSchool Vicki and PreTeen Vicki. Millennium Girls Young Teens are the new figures based on the V3 Unimesh.

Millennium Girls was a pack from Daz that included a Pre Teen character and a Pre School character. Millennium Girls Pre Teen is the Pre Teen character mentioned under my definition of Millennium Girls. Victoria Pre Teen I believe is the same as Millennium Girls Pre Teen but I would like some one to either correct me on this or verify this for me. Millennium Girls Young Teens is the newest character in the Millennium Girls family. She's an updated version of the Pre Teen character from the original Millennium Girls pack. Her name is Laura and she comes with the boy version who is named Luke. Hope I helped. Kristta

Millennium Girls (Pre Teens) Millennium Boys Millennium PreSchoolers (Matt and Maddie) Millennium Young Teens (Luke and Laura) Those are the four kid sets from daz. Each is different, and they aren't interchagenable, although the Young Teens come with Milgirl and Milboy Bodies.

Ahhh, so when I see things saying for "Luke" and "Laura", they are referring to the Millennium Young Teens.. which is essentially a younger version of V3. Got it. Thanks to you both. I was getting a migraine trying to figure it all out. Things could have been made so much easier if they had simply referred to the figures from the start at "Millennium Girls V1/2 Pre Teen" and "Millennium Girls V3 Pre Teen", instead of changing the name to "Young", lol

Yes, but Luke and Laura are actually younger versions of David and Stephanie Petite (at least, they look very much as if they were derived from those figures). They're all still Unimesh figures, however. bonni

They're all clones, but don't mix them up. Luckily, the new kids are usually referred to by their names Luke and Laura., making things easier. Untill, of course, you get Sandra for Laura wearing the texture (skin) from Betty for Stephanie Petite. ehhh... Perhaps Sarsa and Thorne (faerie-dreams.com) are best known for their PT characters (PT, pre-teen is the younger version of Victoria2). If you ever want to use them and upload images here, please read the child-images rules. A long, long-time member has been banned for her faeries pics that showed too many skin-coloured pixels.

I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)

Over on the Wardrobe Wizard list we had a conversion about this. Wardrobe Wizard had listed Pre-Teen Mill Girl and Preteen Vicki as being supported. But now PhilC's page just says, "Preteen Vicki" so I guess they were the same. bB

Do these figures take the M3 and V3 morphs then... does SP3 for that matter take V3 morphs? I can't afford a base figure and morphs in the forseable future or that utility for moving unimesh morphs.

Does some one know please?

You can inject the SP and David morphs into Luke and Laura but it won't look pretty. There is a possiblty to have young teens that will use M3 and V3 morphs, and those are Dodger's Aeon kid characters over at poserpros. He has converted to clothes to fit them too. bB

Do you think then that I could get away with just buying Laura or the Aeon female and use my V3 morph injections? I just can't afford the cost of a new base and its morph sets.
