I hear people saying Posette for Poser 5 - is that the same as Judy? If not, how do I access Posette?

Nope. Judy is the P5 woman. Posette was the P4 woman but is included in P5.

Addendum... Posette is a nickname. The model is really called P4 Nude Woman, or something like that.

Yeah Poser 5 is the first version where they were actually given real names by Curious Labs.

Actually Judy is a reworked Posette, the mesh subdivided and made into a new figure. Given the name Judy in P5, the community called the P4female posette. All poser figures up until Poser 5 are based off the old Zygote models. There are old threads between Daz/CuriousLabs here in the forums with all the dirt and scandal that came with Poser 5. Jessi in Poser 6 is a new figure and not a reworking of old Zygote models. efrontier contracted out for the new Jessi and James models.

Just a small addendum: Judy (the P5 woman), can also take the textures for DAZ's Victoria 2, which can change her look dramatically. Personally I don't like the "Judy" shape, but sometimes she can fit into a scene..:-) Cheers, Diolma PS. From what I've read in these forums, I believe that Judy is a reworked "clone" of the Vicky2 mesh; else the textures wouldn't match.

history time. zygote creates woman, becomes possette, RuntimeDNA gets a hold of posette and subdivides reworks and dum da dum reworks the UV mapping to take Vicki2 textures. BUT...drama... mean while back in Daz land, Daz spins off from Zygote, uses Zygote female model makes Vicki2, then Vicki3... one could say that P3, P4, Judy, Vicki, Vicki2, Vicki3 all came from.....Zygote.... Zygote releases female open source model, and guess what...mesh has similarities to.....ready? Posette, Vicki2. OH what a tangled mesh we weave. Partially why there were problems with Poser 5 EULA (1st version) CL & Daz over who owned models etc. Judy is Poser 4 female reworked and UV's worked to take Vicki2 textures. and Don to take Mike 2 textures as well. oh well, just fun to know who's sleeping with who and what devil comes from the past this week on Desperate Poser Models....

Ah, but Judy works in the Face Room, but better than the P6's too.
