I have been looking for a free sofa and ran into this site. Does anyone know if all is ok with this site. And the objects are theirs to give?

I found this on their site:

They've been around for a while (can't say exactly, but it's before I started recording dates in my links database). Their list of affiliates is respectable too. None of this proves their bona fides absolutely, but it helps. I believe they're legit, but IANACL (I am not a copyright lawyer). ;)

Thank you, Acadia for the quote. I looked for something like that but couldn't find it.
I downloaded one object to check an eventual 'readme' but there was none. But I see in the quote that if so is the case one can't use it in commercial renders.

And thank you Englishbob for that info. Made me feel better.

I will contact them abut my project.

Yep, they are definitely legit. Most people who put their adress, telephone numbers and name on the site wouldn't do so unless they were legit. These guys have been going for years.

I don't know, I see lots of textures that I recognize from a very different site (and I'm positive they are the same).

It looks as if it carries models/textures provided by third parties, as Renderosity does. I know I've had free items on several sites. Not something to worry about, I think.
