Subject: Zbrush morphs for Poser figures

I'm working with zbrush 2.0 and trying to create head and body morphs for V3. If anyone can please post links to relevant threads in this forum and/or tutorials/info on other sites that would be great. Also any pointers would be greatly appreciated :)

One thing I've found very useful in doing head morphs in ZB is to remap the head in UVMapper so I can make masks for the brows, eyelashes, teeth, gums, and inner mouth. This is also useful for doing textures.

I export the head from Poser, open it in UVMapper. I use select by material to get the parts I want moved and move them so they no longer overlap with any other mesh part. I save both the head obj and the uv map. I open the uv map in Photoshop and make a black and white image, the black covering the parts I want to mask. Import that into ZB as an Alpha map and flip it vertically. Import the head obj I exported from UVMapper. Hit the ALP button under Tools/Masking and the parts are masked.

There is a learning curve, but the program is fantastic after you get the hang of it. Can do amazing things - but does anyone know how to use the Poser 6 figures - they are not in the OBJ format in the geometry files, so do you have to export the whole figure instead of using the base figure like you can in P5?

You can change the OBZs into OBJs in P6. I think it's somewhere in the preferance settings. I can't remember for sure, though I did do it. Scott
