Subject: Curiosity about your summer, happy shinny people :)

(sorry, R.E.M. Im using your title without permission, Ill burn in hell for this) Hi folks. Summer is here. I have a question. Some of all we are poseraddicts with all this mess as a hobby. Some people has this as a bunch of additional bucks, and some people as a job. Now summer is here; holidays, vacations and all that My question is: "Have you vacations with Posette, Dork, Jessy and all the unimesh people, or you disconnect your mind of Poser and all the 3D stuff when you go to beach or similar?" :)

I disconnect my mind from Poser the second I walk away from the screen. I try not to even think about it until I come back again to my computer, but that effort sometimes fails miserably.

It's the end of the world as we know it... and I feel fine. ;-)

I try to not think about poser..then I get downstairs, sit with my kids arguing, then change my mind and come upstairs...if I had spare cash I would be visiting USA and would probably would pine for poser but seeing my best friends would soon change all that.

I avoid the beach and sun if possible (I burn to a crisp if I stay out there too long). I watch movies with the kids and eat dinner with my family. I spend time playing with all the critters (puppies, snake, rat, cats, etc and so forth and so on). I think I disconnect fairly often actually.

Disconnect completely. Every year I'm going away for about 2 weeks with my family and no pc, laptop, cellphone and so on comes along. 2 weeks just to have fun with my wife & kids, completely cut off from the poserworld and cyberworld. Very refreshing after a while, but hard the first few days. This year my oldest daughter and I purchased scuba diving gear, so that should be lot's of fun. We're leaving Saturday. so I'm busy packing and backing up vital projects at the same time.

Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

Last year' holidays were easier. No Poser, no eternal freestuff hunt, no forums, no Posette, Furrette, HouseMousie... Leaving compy was difficult but do-able. I can't imagine how to do it this year though. hits her head against the wall Sigh. Off to finish first real freebie before leaving on holidays...

No poser. Just a camera, an empty credit card, full belly and great friends.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

aeilkema, I think this will be my summer... Disconnect completely. And to try not to examinate too much people in beach (in Poser terms) "WOW. What a gal. More or less 0.500 Voluptuous, 0.750 BreastSize8, unimesh body and V2 head... mmmh..." ROFL (hey, I cant live without cell phone. How can I know if my hamster is guarding well my home or if hes doing The Great Mice Party???) Well. At least a couple of connections in a cybercafe to save the weekly CP freeb ;)

I'm fortunate to "be on vacation" all the time! ;o)
Can take time off whenever. But I don't feel well if I'm away from work more than a couple of days at a time. Always bring my external drive with all work if we travel somewhere.

When I'm in a store seeing some furniture for example, I think 'that one would go well in my project'. So 3D and "real world" is somewhat mixed up for me. :oP

Kendra ( ) posted Fri, 15 July 2005 at 1:00 PM

I don't disconnect unless I'm extremely engaged in something. Anything can be isnpiring for me, especially on vacation. My first trip through Nevada to Vegas for instance, on highway 95, the whole landscape reminded me of Bryce. :)
