I haven't been able to access either of the sites for a while now this evening. Anyone else having problems?

Nope not working here either.

However I've been having problems tonight. I know there is a router that is funky between UK and US (I play an online game and it gets kind of obvious when everyone from the UK suddenly suffers 95% packetloss)
So that might have something to do with it.
EDIT
Gets even better. I get "Invalid Syntax errors" if I try to get there on IE. Firefox just times out. www.daz3d.com or daz3d.com same result, the same for Poserpros as well, with or without www.

Laptop can't get there either.

It is probably a DNS server issue. Sometimes you go through several servers or router to get to a website and if one is having problems that can make you think the site is down. It usually doesn't last that long.

There must be a router problem somewhere - they are both working fine for me but I'm in Australia.

Silke: Thanks. I'm in the UK so perhaps that explains things.

Might be there is a router that is flaky. I've had massive problems today getting to US sites from the UK, had complete packetloss on more than one occasion. I'm thinking it's a router somewhere that is either being DOS attacked atm, or it's just deaded or semi deaded. It's not DNS, I've tried a whole bunch of DNS's, including my own which usually work fine. And my own DNS servers are in the US... so it's between here and the US. Hopefully it's sorted out soon. :/

Whenever you're curious about why a site isn't available to you, you can always open up a DOS Window command prompt (assuming you use Windows) and: tracert www.daz3d.com That will show you where the route stops, and give you an idea if the problem is on your end (unable to get past your ISP), their end (gets to their ISP and stops before making it to their server), or somewhere in between.
