Stumbled across this little gem today. Type in a location and the program finds it on the globe and then shows you, in full colour. It found my house, which is kinda creepy, and I was able to zoom in close enough to make out the doghouse in the backyard. Have fun!

It was a bit pixellated for me but you can see all the patchwork fields that surround our village which I thought was quite pretty :D

Tee hee. Look what I found.

My area doesn't have any hi-res images like above. It's just patches of green though I have no idea where the green came from. It's pretty dry here.

Well thanks for this gem. I am easily ammused. I killed 2 hours with this thing lastnight. LOL. Pretty cool stuff.

It won't let me install it on WinMe... :( Now if somehow I could get the files from an already installed version... I might be able to acquire the drivers. Usually that's the only thing that stops newer programs from running on the older WinOS systems.

I highly recommend the 3d flythrough of the Grand Canyon. Mount St Helens is pretty neat too. :)

Yeah, I found this little gem a few weeks ago. This is the closest I could get. This shot was taken in winter, and I would guess, at least 6 years ago. I can tell because I can see the square where the city used to erect a small skating rink in the Park. They haven't done that in at least six years. Sorry, forgot the pic in that first post.
