Subject: FoleyPro files

I bought three packages by Foleypro over at DAZ. I installed them and then never got around to trying them until today. Now I can't find the mesh files that are suppose to be included. I've searched my harddrive for 3ds files and only find a castle that I bought in another package. I went back to the DAZ site and it clearly says that something like 21 meshes are included. So where do I find them? I also have the Skies and 2 D Trees but can't find any of them. I have all the tutorials but it seems like other things were suppose to be included. And they might be there, but I'm have a devil of a time finding them. Thanks.

Hello... Sorry this has Happened... Unfortunately I dont have the "Downloaded Versions" so I dont have the Installer that DAZ used...Now there usually is a Readme dumped somewhere OR you can just Re-install the files and then the Readme should tell you where they are Put... Check in the Content folder as that is where I think they at DAZ put them... The Clouds should be applied to the Cloud Prop in the Clouds Scene.. And the Stumps and Trunks are 21 meshes in 3ds format so they should be somewhere... I am here to help in anyway That I can...

Thanks for your response. I posted here first and then I thought it might be better to post over at DAZ, so I asked there as well. I did search my harddrive for 3ds files but I never found any. Maybe I'll try re-installing. Thanks again.

Is it possible that the tutorials were included in some bundle that didn't include the other files?

MeInOhio ( ) posted Sat, 16 July 2005 at 5:25 PM

Well, I found out where I got them. They were included in the Bryce 5.5 content kit. I checked the products at DAZ and I found them listed. Were only the tutorials included in this set? Or did I not install a piece? Thanks.

There is a scene that goes with the Content CD and you can use that scene to do the tutorials... Did you find the 3ds files...? The Clouds are Jpegs that you apply to the cloudprop in the cloud scene... The 2D trees are obp file format so should be in your Objects Library... The 3DS files are meshes that should be put added to the Objects Library after you import them thru the Object Import Menu...

The 3ds meshes should be in the following folder for the Stumps and Trunks: ContentBrianFoleyStumps & TrunksModels The 2D Trees are in the Objects Library under FP 2DTrees. The Clouds are in ContentBrianFoleyFoleyproClouds The Readme's and the product listings in the ReadMe'sProductLists folder show where everything is.

If you're talking about the stuff included with the content pack, in the same directory as all the Foleypro tutorials is a Bryce scene called BrianFoleyPromo.br5, and a file called BrianFoleyPromo.obp both of which contain the stuff you need for the tutorials.
