Subject: Pulled a Houdini

Sorry for vanishing guys. We're in the final stages of the 50" Cutdown project at work (newspaper is going from printing on a 54" wide roll to 50") and I've been pulling some serious hours. Add in my photo processing and I pretty much do those two things and get a few hours sleep a night. Thought I'd post a few things I've been processing over the last couple of weeks.

Numbers 2 and 4 are my personal favorites! THe moods are portrayed perfectly in them! And those are sure some different looking boots, you don't see them like that every day! Maybe in her next life she will come back as a horse and won't have to wear them? ;) Nice to see you back Donald! Brenda :)

By the time all these posts w/multiple photos upload to my PC w/24,000 bps ISP connection you could pull three or four more Houdini's, but this particular post was worth the wait. ;-)

Yes! The first one (frame #2) is classy. Well coordinated colors. Maybe send a snap of the paper roll/machienery so we can appreciate the difference 4 inches makes?

Can I have the Pony? Please! I have always wanted a pony... Well Sharon did ride Trigger once but thats an old story from a certain retreat we went to in 2000... If you know about Trigger, Well, nevermind. No, not The lone Ranger's Trigger.

Yeesh .. and vanished again. This should be the last week for the massive time at work. Changeover to 50" is this morning (it's underway ... I'm there in 1.5 hrs to convert over remote laser imaging and optical benders). Then maybe I can actually get stuff done. Thanks all ... been having lots of fun shooting this summer and it only promises to get more interesting from here on out. Joe - Oh, you have no idea. Just the stories I could tell surrounding the bulesque shoots alone ... oh my. :) Misha - Newspaper size alone, it isn't that big of an impact. Paper goes from being 13.5" wide to 12.5" wide. Where it matters is in newsprint cost: 4" wide swath of paper saved per roll, each roll is ~11 miles long, a main press run is ~5-8 units each going through 3-5 rolls, there are 4 presses. Adds up quick. 'chelle - Shot at the same time, it's a different image though (pose is different). Vienna is often a favorite. woof :) Michael - I'm thinking the wife is gonna say no on that one. :)
