Subject: Aiko Realistic - - - How???

I've seen reference here and there to "Aiko Realistic" and "Hiro Realistic" but can't find any details. I have both figures and the Morphs pack for Aiko. Is it just turning the "realistic" dials up on the properties window? Please someone explain it to me.

Yes. Although I never actually intended them to be truely "realistic". Its more of a realistic style of anime in my mind. But some people think they look actually realistic, so its all subjective really. :)

Can someone post a link to the figure please? Thanks...

Yes - "Aiko Realistic" just refers to turning the "Realistic" dial on Aiko3 to 1.000 using the properties dial. "Hiro Realistic" is analogous.

You can replace her head with V3's or SP3's. I have a couple of posts that tell you how to do that. Her body is not as unrealitic as some people claim. In fact, I think she makes a superb petite pinup. You can easily morph and scale her body to get a more realistic figure. Aiko, with the Realistic settings on the head, looks to me like a pinup version of SP3, In the full set (not the free base) there's a version which has an SP3 body and Aiko head. To be honest, none of the Daz models feel quite like real people. At best, you get the feel of a top-class photographic model, after half the morning has been spent on doing the makeup. Aiko is, I think, at the realistic end of the anime scale. You can see how the face has been stylised, compared to other Daz figures, but it's the sort of slightly simplified look, rather than exaggeration for caricature (which you might just accuse The GIRL of being afflicted with).

can't remember where i got my "Aiko Realistic morphs", but the tex is HyperReal for V3 by Face off and Morris.

Ok, let me get this right..you can use V3 textures on Aiko? And where is that dial hidden??

AntoniaTiger ( ) posted Mon, 18 July 2005 at 1:39 PM

Yes, you can use V3 texturemaps. But Aiko has different material zones on the legs, which split them into several sections, so a V3 MAT pose will add a useless entry for the whole leg, and not apply the texture to the legs.

Aw, crud! Here I was hopin to use some of the V3 goodies I've got for Aiko...Ah, well....does the commercial version have any better luck than the free one?

All you have to do is a bit of cut-and-paste in the materials room. It's not a big problem. It's just not a one-click operation.

This is an Aiko 3 figure using the "Zeborah" texturemap that's in freestuff here.

You can make most human characters as real or unreal as you want with morphs, magnets, and scaling. DAZ Hi-Res and Make-Up textures work well on Aiko 3. DAZ had a correction for the Aiko 3 Texture Problem. You might check with them.

Here I was hopin to use some of the V3 goodies I've got for Aiko Don't you know how to manually apply a texture? Use the V3 MAT Pose to get the initial texture on, then just apply the same texture and settings to the material zones in the legs that aren't the same. bonni

As elizabyte has said just apply the Mat pose or manually apply the V3 tex to the "Aiko3 V3UV" it's not hard.... The only manual bit of texturing i did on the above image (Comment 10) was to copy and paste the materials for the legs as someone else has pointed out, but that takes about 10 seconds...
