Subject: Makers of Poser Men's Clothing and Manly Stuff

profotograf ( ) posted Sat, 16 July 2005 at 5:00 AM ยท edited Sun, 04 August 2024 at 10:12 PM

I am currently trying to find makers of cool stuff for the male poser figures, be it the Unimesh, ApolloMax or whatever. There is a lot of good stuff out there for the females, but not enough yet for the males. I get the feeling that everyone gets V3 or The Girl and then renders away, and buys everything in sight for them. But when one looks for really neat men's clothing, its not so easy to find anything really "normal" or cool.

I'm looking to meet and talk to makers of stuff like this, was wondering if there are many out there? I am in the process of creating a men's shop for poser male products and was looking for cool stuff, maybe an infusion of new products for ApolloMaximus too. This includes stuff that is not sellable via Paypal rules. If you know of people making cool stuff for the Unimesh Males or ApolloMax, then send them my way please.

MalePoser - They have a freebies section

profotograf ( ) posted Sat, 16 July 2005 at 10:30 AM

I guess I didn't make myself clear... I am not looking for FREEBIES... I know where almost all of those are. I am looking for vendors who make or intend to make male clothing and props and want to sell them. PS: MalePoser.com is a site dedicated to Ronstuff to sell his products, and the majority of links on his link pages are either dead or no longer exist. The site is only updated when Ronstuff has something new to sell. My site's name is listed in my personal profile, and has over 2000 active users and I support all the male products which are available that I know of, by linking to the stores for those products here on Renderosity etc. I am looking to help further the creation of male products for the male poser figures... I am not looking for freebie stuff. Thanks -Antonio

Antonio, I sure hope this goes over well. We really need something like this. Maybe get someone to model current fashion trends. Thanks.

I love the idea of list for the male figures (including M3, David, Luke, Matt, Hiro, M2, AM, and dork). I went to check out the PoserAddicts site, but it seems to be down. Here are few names of people who make guys stuff I found after doing a quick glance at my runtime (I know it's not everyone, please forgive me if I missed your name.) Names are in the order I found them in: Seisui BatLab BillyT Poserism Xurge Xena Royloo Anton Sixus1 Traveler AdZ SilverElf B-Man Lisbeth Kaciasea LQ FireBirdz Capsces Neftis Rubio Studio Maya SWAM Vairesh Jepe 3D Universe Dodger RawArt Thorne AprilYSH DANAE John Malis Kozaburo LadyLittleFox Willsmind ISOP Kuroyume PoseAmation Kinboat Satanica Steve Shanks (Poserworld) Tagame TOMIYA Toshi TrekkieGrrrl Z3D ACHILLES Blonde9999 n0s4ra2 renapd Purr3D Snow Sulton Quim T785 3d.SK AS Morris Digiport L75 ZetaStudios Mec4D aio burnttoast en 3DM Guarie narcissus pdxjims Ravnheart TheRendering MehndiStudios MaskEdit Wenke 3D_Celebrity lemurtek Ajax Kyrs awfulsoul Bernie Blackhearted PhilC Kamilche Communion Daio Digital Mojo DKDW DTG GhostofMacbeth HMG Designs IAN Insomniaworks jlneveloff Quim KreationsByKhrys Laska LaurieS LisaB Luthbel Lyrra MAB WillsMind MorphWorld outoftouch Questor Hmann samils Shahara Sharky Silverleif Studios sturkwurk The3dWizard thip TiffT785 Two Swords Uzilite _as3design bB

Define "cool". I've been working on an ensemble set for David and a matching one for Luke for a bit, and plan to release them -- but they may not meet the "cool" requirements. Need a bit more info...

I've been desperately trying to find reasonably priced clothes for M3, along the same quality lines that are offered for Vicki, and having little to no luck! (I like to avoid Daz whenever possible, ok? I haven't found their clothes to be that great. Plus 'reasonably priced' for me means less than $20 for a clothing pack. :/) I found ONE dynamic thing for M3, here in the Renderosity freestuff, and it was a dress. What I'm really dying for is a dynamic button-down shirt set for M3 similar to the shirt set svdl has for Victoria, and a pair of pants for M3 that's either dynamic, or as completely awesome as hmann's low-rise jeans for V3 are. (M3 Jeans at Daz are not up to this caliber!) So far, I've been able to locate neither of those things. I actually started gathering information and freebie programs on modelling so I could attempt to make the items I wasn't finding, but of course, I've hit a brick wall there. If anyone has any ideas, or something they know of that's under construction, please let me know!

Dynamic clothes for M3?

Hmmm... Try PhilC. He has comforming and dynmaic versions of the same mesh. I have the M2 martial arts ones.

For freebies, go to PoserClub in Japan. There's a new dynamic kimono top and hakama pants for M3.

Also, can't you use Don's or Jesse's dynamic clothes on M3? I don't have P5/P6, but I hear that dynmatic clothes will fit almost any character.

And then there's converting comforming clothes to dynmatic. I don't know the process, but it can be done in the cloth room.

well dynamic clothes we're short on but PoserWorld has lots of M3 stuff (and v3 and m1, v1, james, jessi, etc etc etc) for not a lot of $$. (By your definition) Its a subscription site .. so you pay for a certain amount of access time but in that time you can download every single thing on our server ..er .. if your harddrive can take it :) Lyrra
