Subject: Problem with Sylfie

Engel47 ( ) posted Mon, 18 July 2005 at 1:32 PM ยท edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 7:44 AM

I just got Sylfie and eager to try her out loaded up P5, loaded A3 (with all morphs loaded) and everything was going fine - the head morph worked no problem - but the texture was the sticking point - Poser is asking me to locate MilLashes02 - now these don't come with the Sylfie package so where should I be looking for them? I do have V3 and all her morphs and loads of textures, but I cannot find MilLashes02 in the Daz folder, so any idea where I should be looking?. Any help appreciated.

If you don't have the Textures for V3, you get this message but no problem, look into your texture files for V3 figures, you will find other good lashes. Use a testeditor, even notepad will work, open the pz2-file for Sylfie and serch for Millashes02. Replace this together with the directory-information with the new lashes and save it either under the same or with a different name. You will see, it works well Good luck Ulli

Sorry, I can't get into the Daz thread because I don't have access to it. Must be that membership thing. :(

Sorry about that.

*Aha - maybe that isn't it. There are two quote marks in front of the map name:

" ":ThorneWorks:SPV3:MilLashes02.jpg"

D|S may be thinking the request is for a map named

Don't know if it's also a problem in Poser, but probably best to fix it just in case.

You don't need any V3 textures since this is an original lash transmap from Sarsa. You should find the MilLashes02.jpg in Textures/ThorneWorks/SPV3 - they are included in my version.

Ardiva, open the mat pose in a text editor and do a searchfor.... transparencyMap
delete the first "
Make sure there is only one space between transparencyMap and

":ThorneWorks:SPV3:MilLashes02.jpg"
I can't get this all on one line so all you had to do was copoy and past:(

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

I don't have any problem with Sylfie at this time using Poser5 and the complete morph pak for Aiko3. I was just curious what problems others were having with her. Thanks for the info tho. :)

Engel47 ( ) posted Mon, 18 July 2005 at 5:07 PM

Puntomaus - yup - it's there alright - I just never thought of looking there when Poser asked me to locate it. I assumed (wrongly) that it would be in the Aiko3 folder :)

Thorne ( ) posted Mon, 18 July 2005 at 5:16 PM

There is a double double quote "" at the beginning of the eyelash transparency reference in the SylfieMAT file. This was not like this when submitted to DAZ, therefore they must have changed it (Sylfie is a DAZ original and belongs to them) and didn't check it afterwards. Sorry for the trouble, but I swear it ain't my fault! ;o)

Thorne ( ) posted Mon, 18 July 2005 at 5:21 PM

BTW I just called DAZ and reported this so they will have it fixed very soon I'm sure. ;o)
