All are unique in their own way. #3 is my fav.
#2 could use a bit of darker shadows.Still great clarity.
#1 is like freaky.LOL
Bottome one is awesome too!

Ooooo now I like this last one. It looks a bit abstract, but the grasshopper is in a great position. That back leg makes it.

OK, witch is the best ? They are all very good, so let's see the little defaults in detail to choose the best: picture 3,4,6,10,11 the focus is not on the eyes, that is very important when shooting a creature (provided is has got eyes of course !!!). picture 2,3,6,11 have some burned areas (i.e. all white, typical problem when shooting digitaly). This is enough to say that the best photo is the number 1. But best harmony of colors is number 6, most strange is 10, best light is 2. Do you agree ?

LMAO!!!! HE ATE HIS DARN FOOT!!! Youre right!!! Now thats disgusting, LOL. AND HES GIVING YOU THE FINGER TOO!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Thank you Kimmie!!! God, havent laughed this hard for ages it seems, LOL....whiping my tears...sniff...haha...well ok...here goes... I think definitly number 2 or 3. Yup, those are definitly my favorites. Very impressive macro by the way. You did really good!!!! Is it okay for me to wish you a happy and safe trip now without you thinking i want to get rid of you? #:oP

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

ROFL!!! Man, U're so silly woman!!!! Thx for the laugh though!! Totally hilarious! :)

Damia ( ) posted Wed, 20 July 2005 at 2:04 PM

OMG! Too funny.....in a completely gross way. I just have no words to dscribe my feelings about him eating his own foot. shiver Creepy. Anyway, they are are really good in their own ways. I love the colors in #2 and #5. #5 looks like it was saturated but it also brings out all the colors in the grasshopper. As for which one shows off the grasshopper best, I'd say #3. #4 is really good, too, but the shadow is distracting. And he's flipping you off!!!! LMAO! Great shots here, Kimmie!!

I don't know what to say here, this is too bizarre! Very cool sequence, my faves being 3 and 4 even though there are burned highlights. The only thing I can think of is that the leg was injured so the hopper is chewing it off. It has the color of dry grass, unlike the other legs. Wacky stuff! =]

Ok, I talk to dragonflies, believing a genetic connect might be made with the offspring for next years shots...like "this face is not to fear#...but yikes, I would never eat my foot in front of them. Nature is playing with you here...or revealing "more than we want to know". Now, I am so involved in this story of your images I can't decide either! Maybe, maybe #2 is my personal choice. Foot for dinner...yikes again. ; ) This critter looks seduced and out of sorts with what is happening for the moment. Very neat shots. Still...LOL
