Attached Link: Error in Poser

I'm a little bit in trouble. - try to create a model in Poser 4.0.3 (Windows) German Version. - Using the programm (convert hierarchy) by importing a *.PHI inside Poser. - This *.PHI refers to an *.obj, created in 3dmax and revised in RDS 5.02. Error message (hope the translation is correct) in Poser: Error: The anchor-point(s) does not belong to the following object: *.obj I don't know, if this error massage is a problem of Poser or a problem of RDS. Hope you can help Greetings Matthias

Does the OBJ file have all it's groupings? I'm guessing that "anchor-point" = group.

Thank's for the quick response. No, think the groups are ok. Now I have the correct phrase of the error-message No Geometrie refers with the "anchor-point", *.obj. It appears during the conversion of the *.phi file. The result is, the figure is complete after the conversion but the some details of the objects are not shown in the Poser frame. I found the same word (Achor-point) in Poser -> ... -> Import -> Wavefront OBJ. -> options for import -> row 5 Thank's again Matthias

The names of the groups are case-sensitive; the names in the PHI and groupings must match exactly. Example: "chest" and "Chest" are not the same.

Hello Jeff, yes indeed, one of the group didn't match exactly. But it didn't solved the problem. Nevertheless I found a solution to fix this problem: - Loading the whole *.obj as object into Poser - Exporting the same as *.obj out of Poser (tried several option settings) - Importing it into RDS 5.02 - revised the object - build a new *.phi - then an import of this *.phi was possible in Poser. Don't know why! Think the problem started with deleting some groups of the origin *.obj in RDS. As I said, the origign was created in 3Dmax. At last let me say I learned a lot by studing this Forum. It's so fascinating to create models in RDS and setting them to live in Poser. Some months ago I had no chance to do this, because the manual from metacreation is not very freshening. The real tricks and tools are coming out of this group. If I have some good stuff for this group (now I create a comic strip for a friend, topic a story underwater, created in RDS,Poser,Bryce)I'll upload it. Thanks again Matthias from Germany

You must remember to delete the .RSR file that is created in the folder with the OBJ file. Do this for each new PHI conversion you try. It is a binary copy of the old OBJ file with the misnamed groups. -JH.
