Not sure were you would find a fire HDRI but you can look here http://www.doschdesign.com/products/hdri they may have something for you. Good luck with it.

Call me stupid silverblade33, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I must have skipped that lesson at school, but I'm at a loss, can I save as an hdr file or something, and how would I go about it. Thanks for the slight hint though ;-)

K, been trying to hint at this for a while Richard, ehhe sorry, preffer it myself when you realize things rather than being given ti all on a plate if see what I mean? ;) Infinite can export HDR files, skies or SCENES. evil grin, points to fact he's been selling HDR skies made with Infinite on the Market place ;)

got ya! I didn't know it could do that, but then I've never really looked. Thanks for that, I'll give it a go later. Now how do you make a good fire scene? ;-)

silverblade33 ( ) posted Fri, 22 July 2005 at 7:56 AM

..you have an animated fire material in Vue Infinite Tutorials ;) additionally, you can import fire pics as billboards, tons of fire pics out there on Web/image bureaus etc :) wwww.artbeats.com has, if you have lots of cash (wish I did!) for animated effects, thats where Vue got the fire animation form. Sorry I don't knwo what the scene you are building is precisely or your intended goal with it so cna't offer more advice than that I'm afraid.

That's ok, I'm just doing a 3d logo (writing with an eagle above it, all in metal), wanted a nice firey background with it all reflected on the logo. Thanks for all your help.
