I've been a writer since the 5th grade, I have nothing published and tend to get sidetracked. But, one day I would like to give it my shot and see if I can get myself published. So can you guys & girls tell me how this forum works? My genres is generally fantasy and sci-fi (though I struggle with that, I tend to get lost in coming up with the technology). I've tried more modern tales but, I don't think I'm very good at it. Well, thanks for listening and hello.

Hello and welcome to the Writer's forum! :) Actually, this sounds like just the place for you. There's no real set way that the forum works. Basically, this is a community where writer's can come together, seek support and constructive criticism from each other, get answers to questions, or simply share your writings or anything writing related. If you have questions, feel free to post them here and I'm sure that someone in our community of writers will let you know if they have the answer! David L. Writer's Coord.

Thanks for the welcome. How do I send something to a mod to see if it violate the TOS?

Up at the top of any of the Writer's Forum pages, you'll see where it lists the username of the moderator and coordinator. Just click on the username and it should come up with a page that has a box where you can type them a message. Just send whatever question you have through that :) David L. Writer's Coord.

It's a 9+ page word document. Or do I just send the piece that I think violates the TOS? Because what I'm thinking about showing, if taken out of context it could be misunderstood. It's a dialogue excercise I wrote, it contains profanity, racial slurs and a reference to rape (but in no graphic detail, I've seen worse on Law and Order). It's something I'd like to polish a little bit and get a critique on the dialogue.

Hmmmmmmmm send the parts that you think might violate the TOS. You might be asked to send the whole thing afterwards but that would at least be a good start I think :)

I also have 22 pages (1/3) of a Resident Evil fan fiction I'd like to show as well. Everything I've got is in word format.
