Just up graded to P5 in May and was really impressed with it's abilities to do hair, dynamic cloth etc.
Then I upgraded to 10.4 Tiger.
(I think Mac folks know where I'm going with this.)

Is there ever going to be a P5 fix for Tiger?

Apple's and CL/e-frontier's lack of response is starting to make me think that someone is rolling around in money laughing at how clever thay are on forcing us to upgrade to fix incompatibility problems.

Any insiders have insight?

Not an insider but I'd be real surprised if Poser 5 Mac is ever updated for 10.4, there's just too little financial incentive for CL to do so. Apple had been under a lot of pressure to try and do something about this ('cause there's a lot of legecy apps like Poser out there that have problems) but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for a fix from them. Best; Dan

I gave up and upgraded to 6. Even if I don't use it as often, it seems to crash less. As time goes along, Poser 5 is going to be like the season of Dallas where Bobby's dead or the second Highlander film. It never happened, and we must never speak of it.

Have you upgraded to 10.4.1 or 10.4.2(the latest)?? Poser 6 well not work until you have at least 10.4.1 . Poser 5 works on my PowerMac in 10.4.2.

Thanks David - P5 isn't working right with 10.4.1 but I'll give 4.2 a try.
