Subject: Can't get to the Marketplace!

I'm on broadband, Firefox 1.0.4, no problems getting to other sites; I can get all over the site, but get "operation timed out" when trying to get to the Marketplace.

Hi Djeser, I just tried and got right in. Have you been able to access the MP with Firefox 1.0.4 in the past? Clint

Earlier I was getting page not found & then back to the old MySQL server crap& too many connections ~eye roll~. For me now it's OK.

I'm having problems too. First I couldn't check out. Then I was unable to get into my cart.

I've been having problems all day..sigh. "Too many connections", "page contains no data" and to cap it off about half an hour ago I had to actually log in with SQL errors all over the place.

Clint, I"ve never had problems getting into the marketplace or anywhere else here with Firefox. I occasionally get that "page contains no data" as well. Just now, I couldn't get to the site at all, then got SQL errors all over the place; when I refreshed, the entire page was filled with SQL errors. And I had to relogin. Something is definitely not right.

There were a few database tweaks done last night. So, It should be running better today. The site is running pretty fast this morning, for me. Clint

Thanks for the update Clint. The forums are still a bit slow for me but that's nothing new and I am on dialup sigh...but at least no nasty SQL errors and stuff. Of course now that I've said that, I've probably jinxed it LOL.

I just gave up. About 2-3 a.m. California time there were fewer than 1800 visitors to the site, and it kept saying "too many connections" and "sesssql error" and "mysql has gone away", and when it would deliver a page? Well, I wouldn't insult molasses, it was glacial. I don't expect to play a couple (or more!) of games of Freecell while waiting for pages to open. So I booted the DOSbox and slipped into Underworld2 and killed acid-spewing flesh slugs and rabid rats until my irritation diminished. :grrrrr: Carolly
