Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 21 1:30 pm)
And I thought I was the only one. Hey maybe you and I ought to go out and have a beer, and discuss Poser, and its content. DAaa.
I love poser for animations and Illustrations. I use it to advertise what ever I'm needing to advertise. I also write novels and I use it to create my charactures. I print them out, and it helps me keep their personalities in line through out the novel.
Just like buying poser content. I have 8 novels I'm working on. I should say. I am working on about 3 at a time the others are layed out with a lot of the theme and plot ready to get into gear after the others are completed.
I have one Childrens book with Illustrations throught done with Poser. So I hope Poser starts paying for all the stuff I have invested in.
I don't even want to count up all the program expensives like. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, After Effects, Then there is Vue, Poser, Truespace, Shade. Oh and Content. Content probably runs more than all the programs together.
Then there is the upgrades in new computers so when you render a Poser Photo, or an Animation, It will be able to complete the mission. Hey! What ever it is. I am addicted like nothing else.
I had always wanted to do an Animations, but I had added up all the cells the old fasion way of doing animations and it would take me forever to do not including the expence. There were Cells, Paint, Layout Camera rigging, pencil drawing for each scene, not to mention a lot of other things I left out. Now I make all the animations I want. I couldn't be happier!
Cheer up, Your not alone!
Hi Dave, I think you are just normal and you only have a good taste for fashions and forms. Belive me, not all men are interest in sports, cars or poker only. Never forget the male artist who are most draw or paint females only. You are using poser insteed a pencil or brush and easel. But there isnt a real difference in designing, tis only the medium you use. Dont forget the male couturiers or hairdressers, they all love to "create" a beautyful woman. And it gives so many men which doesnt like the male clothes and underwear very much, but they havent a real chance to wear something different. No, not only girls are playing with Babie, only the girls are talking about it. Forget the old gender roles that men are poker-players and women sweeties only. You only have found a hobby which you like very much ;-) Andrea
You have NO idea how many pairs of shoes, how many hairstyles, how many sets of sexy lingerie, how many fetish and plastic and leather and rubber and lacy clothes my girls have. And all the scifi, historic and ordinary clothes and all that, which lies around and waits to get used. I'm talking hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of items. For thousands of dollars. And I'm a guy, I'm 49, with teenage kids and stuff.... :] Fish
Oh, I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I just had to re-organize for the umteenth time and take care of gigabytes of Poser stuff. I do mean gigs. I remember when I had less than one meg and Win 3.1 and no programs. Now when I think of more Ram or a bigger hard drive or faster anything it's all because of Poser. My girls have more clothes than I do and I thought I was the Imelda Marcos of shoes. But I'm not...Vicky is. Now they're all mad at me because I told them that they have to use Wardrobe Wizard and share because I'm broke!
This MUST be clean up your runtime's month! I've just spent the past week reorgainising my content into separate runtimes so I can uninstall all my Poser's except Poser 6 and just switch runtimes as needed. (I'm still not done. I think it's a lifetime job cuz you people keep making more freebies for me!!) o.O
wow... now you guys are serious:) I have a mere 5 gig runtime.. so should I write here? or wait 'til couple of months? Well at least I might not be the only one seing possible poses and clothes and scenes all around in town and country and work and restaurants and so on... Hell .. I even dream with this sometimes.. am I an addict? yup...
