Subject: Export from Bryce

I have a Bryce obp, textured, and want to export it as 3ds and obj. I clicked the edit button and clicked control+D and exported it in these two formats. I uvmapped the obj. On importing them back they come untextured. How can I export such a model with material settings saved?

I think you may have to re-apply the textures, but your UV co-ords should be there to handle the correct mapping.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

Bryce only export the diffuse, ambient and specular solid color textures ,UV mapping and Normals. Bryce doesn't export (except with terrains) any DTE procedural or image textures. So if you're trying to export procedurals you're pretty much out of luck. If they're using image textures, you can use almost any modeler (even Poser and D|S) to apply the original image textures and re-export.

Thanks for your replies. I shall try it in Poser than!
