Subject: Hair for Guys

Tired of my guys always being bald its sexy, but not every body can be bald. I've tried to make my own dynamic hair, but I haven't had so much success. So I'm wondering what would be some good hair to get. Particularly to fit M3. (I also plan to get AM in the next bit, so if it would fit him so much the better.) Seems that a lot of the posts here credit the Agent Hair. That isn't dynamic is it? Also the product page in the Marketplace says that Mac Users will need Mac Converter for it. But It seems there is no OSX version. So will I be able to use Agent Hair? Does anybody have recommended hair for guys?

I like Seisui's Laques Hair for David:

Great looking hair, and free. (It can be easily fit to other figures. In fact, most hair can.)

Agent Hair is not dynamic. But it's great hair.

Sorry, I haven't a clue about Macs.

Thanks I took a look at that. It seems a bit "toon" to me, but I will give it a try. Now when you say it can easily fit other figures what do you mean by that? What does one do to fit something from one figure to another? Do I need to use magnets? Is there something similar.

No, you generally don't need to use magnets to fit hair to other characters (though some people do use them).

I just position and scale the hair, then parent it to the figure's head. It's usually pretty easy to make it look decent. It doesn't have to fit exactly.

Egypt Hair by 3Dream (here) and Egypt Hair Steps by Shahara are the products I'd recommend. (There's also Agent Hair and a couple of others that have steps packages.) The Egypt hair I bought originally for my 'contemporary' renders, for my female figure, but I had a terrible time trying to make it work. Steps allowed me to easily change the hair for different figures, as well as change the style of the hair, and I've discovered that the short, fit-to-michael-3 version looks GREAT, and imho it looks better on Mike than it ever did on Vicki.

Looks good. It also says that I will need MacConverter. So I'm not sure if it will work for me. What is a steps package?

It's a pose package to make the hair do certain things, quickly. You could move the dials by hand, of course, to accomplish the same things - they're just very handy for quick changes. I am on a PC, so I don't know much about it, but I believe MaConverter is a free utility. Hmm.

Check out Netherworks fits for all the hair for males and females... they have Mac stuff. That should help you.
