The forums are still as slow as a big bag of very slow things in cold treacle, as far as I can tell.

but that was 2 hours later. the speed thing isn't a constant, I've had it go from fast to crawl to fast in a 20 minute period.

Jaqui - same here, most of the time. My point is, whatever changes the Rosity gang have made ain't seemed to make things any better in my corner of the internet. :(

you mean the MySQL Errors, the message that the poser forum has goneaway, a picture in the gallery has been deleted (it wasn't) and the way it takes upto 10 minutes (on a 6mb broadband connection) to open a thread? surely not! (that all happened to me this morning)

considering the amount of people that are live on this site, it's very quick. most of it.

maybe the changes haven't solved everything. but the knowledge that it's not just the numbers helps dispell that as the cause of the slowdown. so it has to be from somewhere else that is causing the slowdowns. db design.. server load due to multiple browser instances per user....
