Subject: Brief Introduction

Hello everyone!

I've been around for a few months now, but too shy to post anything in the forums (even though I've been encouraged to multiple times). So, at long last, this is my quick hello. :) I'm 27, living in Brussels, Belgium, and I am very much a beginner in the realm of photography. I received a compact Canon Digital IXUS 500 last Christmas and it goes everywhere with me now. It is, quite literally attached to my hip. ;) I love finding beauty from perspectives that others might miss and attempting to take the viewer into a fantasy world of beauty and emotion. It's an endless challenge!

I am very pleased to have found this community, and I am happy to meet you all. :) Sincerely, Mayliah

Hi Stefanie, Welcome again to this community ! As you may know, I'm living in Belgium too (Louvain-la-Neuve) ! Like you, I'm having a lot of fun around here ! And there are really some fantastic people (great artists, friends, ...) I started also with a little CANON ixus i and still today I'm carrying it everywhere with me (my NIKON D70 is fantastic but heavy in some circumstances...) Your gallery is beautiful and diversified and I encourage everyone to take a look ! Hugz :~)

Hi mayliah! Don't be shy! You've got something to express? Express it! Don't be self-conscious or anything like that. You've got something to say and in your own way so go for it! Remember, everyone always has something good AND bad to say, just take them all with a grain of salt and learn from this crazy world we live in ! Cya round!

Mayliah, I also say welcome. I call myself a late blooming photographer, following in my father's footsteps and not knowing that until recently. ; ) The images I post are sometimes not very good, eventhough I might think so at the time. Some are quite good. Some are very middle of the road in quality, composition, etc. You will find a warm welcome here, as have I. Go for it with your camera and let your heart speak! Ask for good, constructive evaluation and criticism and you will get that. Many here are very willing to share their talents with others. This is a valuable asset. I thank 'rosity for it all. Best wishes and Blessings. TomDart.

Welcome to a helpful forum where people treat each other nicely. Be aware (smile), though, "as this forum is inhabited by an all bunch of wicked people, yep! " So, speaking of wicked (glances around evily), you just might be able to catch the latest "Simon says...." And remember, have fun with photography!
