Hmm.. I've seen a similar problem when I use Open GL (everything goes grey), switch to to software and it's fine? What happens if you don't make the camera move ? Do the lights change or move in anyway? Is there a background plane ? Have you tried using another codec ?. Try .avi instead of quicktime. Check display driver/colour depth settings match render settings.

mrsparky For issue #2 which was the black and white junk showing up. If I render out a still image it still renders with the junk. I have been playing around with this scene and started deleting items one by one out of the scene to see if it would work out. I came down to the water plane and water texture in my scene. When I deleted out the water and water texture...recreated the water and assigned the default texture it seems to render out fine now.... If this fixed the problem...I sure would like to know why it was acting so crazy with the plane I had in there. It was just a simple water plane with a nice water texture...HMMMMM Dont know. As for issue #1 the flickering rendered animations.... you are saying to try a different codec??? I am rendering the images out as a image sequence. Flickering textures in an animation I know is sometimes unavoidable but this is just to much and needs some dealing with. Thanks for your reply and I hope to hear more input on these matters. Cheers, Dave
I have deleted the ground plane out. The Mts. and river valley is object mesh created in Maya and imported into Vue. I believe I have fixed this problem by deleting out the water texture and created a new water texture. My still frame renders seem to be working...so the next step is to render out a sequence. I would like to thank you for your comments and suggestions. You wouldnt happen to know why things are flickering would you or some nice settings in the render options to set for image sequence animations??? If you have some settings that you have tested and know they have nice non-flicker animations let me know so I can start playing around with the render options. Like I said I have tried several different options but still have flickering and sometimes black ghost like objects appear in my final renders. Cheers, Dave
"You wouldnt happen to know why things are flickering". I've got odd effects rendering UNDER a ground or water plane. Avoid that if possible. "some nice settings in the render options to set for image sequence animations". Sorry :( I only do single renders or avis for playing with in other apps. Good luck with it Dave! PS: have you tried posting this problem at eons site or asking for support ?

Good day everyone, I have been having trouble with Vue 5 Infinite when I render out animations. I have tried several different settings in the render options, such as Broadcast, Superior, and even Ultra but it seems nothing I do corrects the flickering issue when you play the animation back.Basically what I have is an environment with a simple camera move flying thru. When I render out the animation the terrain...ground plain and some of the plants textures seem to flicker. I have boosted the texture flickering setting in the render options but they still flicker.
If anyone has any ideas how to render out animation with out the flickering issue please let me know some. Settings in the render options or tweaking the textures.... something so I have a clean render.
One last thing... Another problem when I have tried rendering out animation sequences is some frames start to render but renders only half the frame them moves onto the next frame. I have attached a URL link to a sample of this problem so you can have a better understanding of the problem I am facing. I have tried rendering out just those frames and get the same image. This seems to happen in the post process of the render...meaning it renders out fine then it starts rendering this white black junk over the top of what it had rendered. If you have clues of the funky white/black images showing up in my renders please let me know.
So 2 issues Flickering renders & partial rendered frames
Any help would be greatly appreciated with either of these issues.
Thanks,
Dave
